Dr. Steven A. Gest

Dr. Steven A. Gest, MD, Founder

Dr. Steven Gest graduated from Thomas Jefferson University in 1985 and is board-certified in both family medicine and emergency medicine. With thirteen years of experience in emergency medicine he transitioned into occupational medicine, where he founded and now serves as the CEO and Medical Director of Emeryville Occupational Medical Center. He is also a recognized pioneer in telemedicine, advocating for its integration into healthcare to enhance patient access and outcomes.

Dr. Gest is a highly experienced family practitioner based in Gold River, California. He specializes in providing comprehensive healthcare to individuals of all ages, with an emphasis on preventive care through routine check-ups, diagnostic tests, and personalized guidance for maintaining a healthy lifestyle.

Dr. Gest plays a crucial role in serving underserved and rural populations, ensuring families receive essential medical care and proactive health management. In addition to his family medicine expertise, he is also a leader in occupational medicine, focusing on workplace health, safety, and injury prevention.

Wei Ling Guo, PA-C

I started my medical career as a physician / internist in Hefei,China. After moving to the US with my American husband, I went to UCDavis to become a physician assistant. I have been a PA for 23 years.

I have worked in family medicine, gastroenterology, pulmonology and internal medicine during my career. My main focus now is managing chronic illnesses such as Diabetes, Hypertension, Hyperlipidemia, COPD etc. My passion is to help my patients maintain normal weight and develop a healthy lifestyle.

I have one child who is grown. In my spare time I enjoy walking, hiking, traveling and reading. Planning to pick up bicycling soon. Life is a gift and lets enjoy the wonderful journey and overcome the obstacles together.

Cheryl M. Acob

Cheryl M. Acob, NP

Ms. Acob started her career as a nurse practitioner in 1994 after graduate school from UCLA. She started her medical career in pediatrics, then moved on to work as a primary care provider in family medicine. Since 2011, she has practiced in occupational medicine, and thoroughly enjoys it. Ms. Acob believes in compassionate and personalized health care for her patients, collaborating with them to develop their treatment plan, which increases patient compliance and satisfaction.

Born in Chicago, and raised as a California native, Ms. Acob enjoys an active lifestyle, from yoga to snow skiing. She also enjoys her time at home entertaining family & friends, but does relish relaxing on the couch with her dogs and husband of almost 40 years, whom she has three grown children with.

Ms. Acob looks forward to meeting you all, and anticipates building a successful provider-patient relationship that will make for healthier, more vibrant individuals!
